1955 |
Les and Margaret Ruddock found Ruddock Manufacturing Company, as a contract maker of western shirts and pants, in El Paso, Texas.

1956-1990 |
Company grows and launches its own upscale brand, Flyin’ R Ranchwear.

1991 |
Sons Leon and John, who have worked at the business since childhood, purchase the enterprise. John’s son – James – joins the firm as third generation.
James runs Product Development, marketing and sales.

2000 |
Bill, Leon’s son, joins the business following his West Point graduation and military service.
Bill manages the plant, office and shipping operations.

2001-2003 |
Production for western shirts moves to the Pac Rim and Third World.

2004 |
MSD Ignitions, another El Paso-based firm, contracts with Ruddock to create a corporate wearables program.

The “Flyin’ R” brand is developed to optimize Ruddock’s focus on the specialty automotive aftermarket as a source for:
- Corporate logo wear
- Crew and racing uniforms
- Other embroidered or screen printed soft goods items
- Promotional items
